Serve by Giving
We NEVER pass around a plate at Christ Church because we always have visitors and we want them to be our guests. That is, if you are visiting Christ Church or checking us out we are delighted that you’ve come along and we DON’T want your money.
On the other hand we do strongly encourage those who consider Christ Church their church to give us much as they are able. The apostle Paul said, ‘Each one must give as he has made up his mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work’. 2 Corinthians 9:7-8 (ESV). Therefore we ask our members to:
- Pray: Asking God how best you can support His gospel work with the money he has given you.
- Decide: Resolve how much to give and how often.
- Act: Fill in and return a standing order form (with Gift Aid declaration if applicable) to Jo Herron our Treasurer or, if giving by cash or cheque, use the Collection Box on the Finance Table.
All necessary forms are put out on the Information Table each week.
Christ Church is a company limited by guarantee and submits audited accounts to the Charity Commissioners.
